Student Policies

LESSONS

This year the teaching year is comprised of 32 weeks and divided into two terms as follows:

1st term of 14 weeks and a 2nd term of 18 weeks. (September 11, 2006 - December 15, 2006 and January 8, 2007 - May 18, 2007). RCM exams are in mid-June. Lessons will continue for those students taking exams.

^{THE LESSON TIME IS RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR EACH STUDENT. LESSONS MISSED BY THE STUDENT CANNOT BE MADE UP OR REFUNDED.}

^{When a lesson must be cancelled, a request for a make-up lesson may be considered by the teacher, but is not a studio policy. Lessons cancelled by the teacher will be rescheduled or refunded.}

^{A term to term commitment is requested from the student. Lessons may be terminated by the teacher in the event of irregular attendance, repeated failure to prepare assigned materials or disruptive behaviour.}

^{* Fees are for instruction only. Students should expect other related expenses such as the purchase of music, accompanist fees, and Royal Conservatory exam fees which will vary from student to student.
